Story:The hugely popular Resident Evil series, having sold over 61 million units to date, returns to its roots with a remastered version of the critically acclaimed masterpiece, Resident Evil. Originally released in 1996, Resident Evil was then “remade” in 2002 from the ground up with new visuals, gameplay elements, environments and story details while retaining the survival horror atmosphere the series had become synonymous for. Both fans of the franchise who want a trip down memory lane and those who have yet to experience the game that coined the term survival horror for the gaming world will appreciate this definitive re-visit of that iconic 2002 Resident Evil title. The intense horror fans first experienced with the release of the original Resident Evil is back. Taking place in the now notorious Raccoon City, players will choose to take on the role of either S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Service) team member Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, who have been sent into the city to find the missing Bravo team. When the team is suddenly attacked by a ferocious group of mutated dogs, desperate for an escape they take shelter in the Mansion, but will they ever get out alive again? Players will need to be brave as they adventure through the dark, enclosed spaces searching out the horrors that await them. With limited ammo and survival items available gamers will need to keep their wits about them to survive the various traps and puzzles that greet them at every stage.Show more

When I started playing this game, I was in a point of my life where I was often called monotone, quiet, and unemotional because of my deep voice. Then those f***ing dogs burst through the windows in the hallway and I screamed so hard, people said my voice possessed a clear and pure soprano. Thanks Resident Evil!!!

This game is the best RE game EVER made. It has everything RE stands for before the bs started. This is horror, puzzles, a grounded story, graphics that are timeless and music that screams iconic! This is by fare next to ObsCure 1 my favorite horror game of all time!!!!
Resident Evil Remake on GameCube surprised the world. A mind blowing recreation of a classic PS1 survival horror game. Some could argue ways it's done that better than Resident Evil 2 Remake. I personally prefer the overall environment more. Even if you played a lot of Resident Evil 1 Classic it won't help much. The game vastly different making it a truly rememberable experience. Yes this introduced Crimson Heads. I actually felt some sections were notably improved to be even scarier. This is still among the greatest Resident Evil games ever made!!!

Recently, it seems GOG has been in a polyamorous relationship with Night Dive Studios and Bethesda. But it seems Capcom is flirting too much and seducing them. Please, GOG release this remastered title; it has to be paired with the original.
This game is a masterpiece of horror. It deserves it's preservation on GOG along a few fixes that Capcom didn't care to give it. Such as... - Gamecube music restoration - Resolution higher then 1920x1440 (up to 4K) - Fix for the lighting system - Fix for widescreen not displaying correct ratio (can't see chandelier in widescreen for exemple) - Mouse Cursor visible during gameplay - Fix for the elevator being reversed in the lab (goes up instead of going down) - Modern Controller support - Refresh rate increased from 60hz to monitor settings (doesn't support that currently) This game is an improvement over the OG on so many ways.. New enemies, improved lore , new rooms, a new boss, new unlockables, new cutscenes, reworked OST , two new costumes and a new galery for all the endings. I grew up with Gamecube version which is way superior to this HD version. The music is also better in the OG release. I hope GOG will do what this masterpiece deserve.
Definitely do the GameCube version; if it's possible, have it completely uncensored like with the classic collection, if y'all ever consider adding this. Every RE game that comes here, its artistic integrity should be expressed to its fullest. This was my first ever Resident Evil game. Having enjoyed the characters and the story, it got me into the rest of the games. Right now, I'm still on RE4 and Code VX. Wish me luck. 👍

It's the unofficial gold standard for remakes. It has everything the original had but dialed to 11 + other extras. This port only raises the resolution but keeps all the gore (yummy 🤤). The sequels and remakes that are highly regarded have taken some ideas from this remake.
It's bad enough that Capcom lost the original assets and so none of the 2d elements of the game were truly presentable in wide screen HD format. When I palyed this on gamecube it was easily one of the best games I ever played. Scared the heck out of me too. I was not expecting one of the zombies to do what it did and I had to put the controller down for a while so that my heart rate could normalize lol. It deserves respectful preservation.
i was there gandalf ... 3000 years ago , with my lunch box ejem Nintedo game cube this game and resident evil 4 was the only reason to buy the lunch box ... and was magnificent , the good and only true remake thats is Resident evil

When I was younger, I had a Nintendo DS and my dad bought an R4 card to put games on it. I was at some friends house, my parents were there and we would eat for the night. With my bestfriend at the time we came towards my father to ask him if he could install Resident Evil 0 on the R4, and at first... he didn't like it because it was scary hahahahaha. But then, he hand me me and my friend the R4 with this famous game on it... We played until it was around midnight, and we were so scared. The zombies felt so real, the dogs so scary (still scared to this day hahaha). I love this game. Bring it back DRM free!!!

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

Dune
DuneDune is a 1992 video game, based upon Frank Herbert's science fiction novel of the same name. Developed by Cryo Interactive, is the first of the Dune computer games. Dune blended adventure with economic and military strategy, and is considered by many the most immersive Dune computer game. Loosely following the story of the novel, the game casts the player as Paul Atreides, with the ultimate goal of driving the Harkonnen from Planet Dune, while managing spice extraction, military, and later, ecology through the native Fremen tribes. As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.
