Memecchi: Some of the best RPG makers games have porn in it, there are tons of really talented devs that simply include porn because the games sell better, that doesn't make them any less respectable
Shmacky-McNuts: This.
It is really odd GOG staff do not accept sex games. Im guessing, staff do not want to deal with legal problems?
Let me tell a story. So when GOG was first accepting adult games, I'd like to think that myself and some others here were very instrumental in what they chose. We'd asked for Leap of Faith and soon enough, it was here. We'd asked for the NLT games (Treasure Of Nadia, Genesis Order) and with this one guys, I actually went into NLT's discord server to ask. I wasn't a regular and I merely posed the question. I did it very professionally, I was told to wait until he had gotten back from his vacation and then when I was allowed to speak with him directly, he was very interested and here we are. I'd also asked Jast USA several times and eventually they said yes as well. Up until the Tokyo Necro situation, which only God himself knows what is going on with that.
These are only the things that I know I'd personally mentioned and asked for. Same with Shady Corner Games and getting those up here - which all the sudden have just stopped. Same with Kagura which IMO have no idea WTF is going on with GOG right now but are still more than happy to release the back catalogue of like eighty games. (Some of that IS good, so you did definitely miss out on a few bangers.) MangaGamer says they are willing to release more games on GOG, but it seems to be a "when we're good and ready." Also several devs seemed to have gotten no reply including the one that I keep talking about that offered what I would call six or seven quality games. That offer is still available. All of the very popular Paradise Lust games are in that package. If someone from the staff sends me a message, I can get in touch with those devs in pretty much no time, they can get those contracts signed and get those games up here.
The only issue is that GOG have grown super quiet with adult games. I don't think it is that they do not want them, I think that it is because they have a very small staff to begin with. If they had a large staff (and they are hiring!) we might get some people who can actually get in touch with these devs and would gladly offer their games to GOG. You can't do much with a small staff, but God knows they're trying. We've just gotta hope for the best. I know you guys want more spicy games and me and some others have those contacts. Some people won't budge, but we can move those who will over here. Hopefully this is all just a temporary issue and more adult games can come to the platform - PREFERABLY with a filter option so that the complaints will stop.
