So you probably have heard that humble recently changed their TOS to allow them to expire purchased games in your humble library just like their freebies that come with an expiration date.

Question: has anyone revealed their keys ahead of time and copied them down?
do the keys still work after your humble library link (of the same game) has expired?
Is this only about Steam keys, or can access to DRM-free installers be affected by this change too?

All of my old humble bundle freebie keys worked long after their expiration date, except for one, which had been revoked.

You can use the links at the top of this page to check which of your keys, if any, have been revoked:

Thanks, is GRIME one of them? I'll check

It should be only the keys since the buttons to grant keys is what the expiration dates apply to.
However, nothing is guaranteed.
You should back up the installers.
Changing TOS after purchase feels like it should be illegal, right? Imagine going to work on Monday and telling your boss you are changing the terms after you got the job. That you just feel like being paid, but you wont be showing up for the rest of the week.

edit: forgot the word "you" before just. Broke the sentence....

I don't quite understand what the expiration of unused keys has to do with the need of backing up your installers?

Or are you talking about something else instead of expiring unused keys? (I presume they are unused because you don't want to use them yourself to obtain the game, but to trade them to other keys or sex, so they are hard currency to you. You can buy two cartons of milk with an unusued The Witcher 3 key, for example.)

Oh, I have been doing that for many years already, it’s all automated and fetches any new installer on a daily basis.

They were asking if DRM-free installers from Humble are affected.
Short answer: Not yet, but back them up anyway since Humble can go back on existing policy (like they had)
It's best to just reveal the keys if you don't want them to be taken from you and redeeming them on time would be even better.

I still don't understand if this is about HB revoking unused (Steam?) keys, or actually removing games from your HumbleBundle library that you have already purchased.
I only have 40 or so DRM-Free games at Humble, and the only keys I can recall seeing, were Steam keys to get an additional Steam copy of the game ... and I always claimed them immediately, because it seemed wise to me to have a copy with the biggest provider, despite me hating DRM. I guess you can call it a rainy day investment or precaution.

In any case, I stopped trusting Humble years ago and always downloaded my purchases (DRM-Free only) immediately. I do occasionally check for updates, but not often.

That is what I'm hoping to confirm.
If you revealed the key and copied it down, will it also expire like your humble library's game page

By the way, I heard using humble gift's function, you can have the key change into the gift recipient's region. (if there are region locks)

Is that true?
