Just tossing this out there -- anyone else think it’d be amazing to see the SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs games show up on GOG?

These were squad-based tactical shooters from Zipper Interactive (published by Sony) back in the PS2/PS3 days. Tons of strategy, voice commands, solid campaign missions... and the online play back then? Top tier. SOCOM II and SOCOM 3 were especially legendary.

Since the servers are long gone and Zipper’s no longer around, I feel like GOG could be the perfect place to preserve the series for PC -- DRM-free, single-player campaigns, maybe LAN support if that’s even doable.

What do you think? Would love to hear from other fans -- or folks who missed it and want a second chance. Maybe GOG could reach out to Sony if enough of us ask.

I suggest making a dreamlist, while a flawed system it does give GOG a powerpoint to give publishers and IP holders, and then link here and in other places. but arent the SOCOM games PS2 exclusive? they would need to ported to PC first and they would need to find someone to do that.

Lord_Kane: [...] but arent the SOCOM games PS2 exclusive? [...]
For PS2: SOCOM I, SOCOM II, SOCOM III, Combined Assult

For PS3: Confrontation, SOCOM IV

For PSP: Fireteam Bravo 1, Fireteam Bravo 2, Fireteam Bravo 3, Tactical Strike

And yes, there are no official PC ports of any of the games. If you look well enough, you can find private PC servers running some of them on emulators, but that is as close as it gets.

Indeed, just realised that these are all console-exclusive.
Nevermind then.

I was one of the few PS2 owners who owned a PS2 but not many games, so the series missed me..largely because I was playing Ghost Recon 1 and Rogue Spear on PC lol
