I recently started playing Alien: Isolation — which I might add is a great game — and I noticed that they have included a link to the "GOG store" directly on the main menu. Does anyone know why that is? Clicking on it takes me straight to the game's store page.

It is nice to see, though, because it feels like SEGA gave GOG first-class treatment. :-D
They want you to buy DLC incase you haven't.
Wasn't that one of the Galaxy Marquee titles alongside Allan 2000?
Oh thats actually a surprise I haven't got to the gog version playing it yet .. but I have seen many a game on Gog that has such a function not directing to the Gog store page but rather directs to Steam versions store page ... So this is actually great news
Part of the package when General Arcade "ghost-ports" Steamworks-infested titles and removes any and all - or most at least - traces of it.

"The team will also remove all mentions of Steam from game menus and game files."

I considered that possibility too, but wouldn't it have been better to detect if the DLC was currently installed and throw in a banner or pop-up asking you to buy the DLC? Why put a link to main store page with no context? GOG users who bought the game would already know where to buy it anyway, unless of course you got the installer files from a family member or friend.

Cool. I didn't even consider that they might have used a porting house. I always assumed they did the work themselves since it's still the PC platform.

That was nice of them to link it to the gog store.
