Announcement

"A compilation of Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, Congo's Caper, and Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics, the three Joe & Mac titles developed by Data East and released for Super Nintendo Entertainment System between 1991 and 1995, as part of the Tatakae Genshijin franchise in Japan.
Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja – A run-and-gun platformer that follows the titular Joe and Mac as they fight through 12 hellish levels using prehistoric (but not just) tools and weapons. While the game was censored when it came out in the west, the Retro Collection also includes the original Japanese version!
Congo’s Caper – A side-scrolling action platformer centered around Congo, a half-human, half-monkey boy looking to rescue his girlfriend from a demon through 35 varied levels.
Joe & Mac 2: Lost in the Tropics – This title adds a light roleplaying aspect to the series. While the goal is still to defeat cavemen and dinosaurs, players can court and wed their Stone Age girlfriend, and even have a child with her!
In addition to allowing players to rediscover the original games (both western and uncensored Japanese versions) as they were presented back in the 90s, the Joe & Mac Retro Collection also features numerous quality of life improvements, like save states, a rewind feature, an optional CRT filter or customisable aspect ratios.

Orion's End (20 days left, currently at 570 out of 18269 eurodollars)

Crowdfunding Campaign Trailer
Gameplay

"An open world, sandbox game, with a bright and cartoony pixel art aesthetic. It provides the player with a sandbox in which to live their life in the space lanes however they choose.

However, there is an overarching story that can be pursued if the player chooses to, concerning the old tale of the ancient space vessel the “Orion” which crashed landed thousands of years earlier. The legends speak of untold wealth and power being hidden within the ship’s remains, should anyone ever discover the mysterious world where it slumbers. A lost world known only as Orion’s End.

Play Your Way

Once the game begins, there is a whole collection of worlds to explore, people to meet, and things to do. You aren’t forced along a set path, but many systems and mini games exist that allow for emergent gameplay scenarios to develop as you play.

Inside The Law

Commodity Trading - buy and sell trade goods from diverse planetary systems
Delivery Jobs - deliver legitimate parcels between NPC on different worlds
Planet-side Mining - explore the deserts or underground to mine resources to sell
Asteroid Mining - asteroids can contain valuable resources
Salvaging - crashed ships or abandoned outposts can contain valuables
Relic Hunting - ruins of ancient civilisations can contain valuable relics or old tech

Outside The Law

Pirating - unsuspecting trading ships can contain valuable cargo
Smuggling - some delivery missions may be a little riskier
Stealing - break into any building or pick pocket any person
Hacking - some computers can contain valuable information worth selling

Above The Law

Bounty Hunting - sometimes the authorities may turn a cheek
Military Contracts - some bounties are next-level dangerous
Law Enforcement - protect a community from bandits and criminals

Planet-Side

While on the planets or on board the space stations, you can buy and sell commodities, refuel, or repair and upgrade your ship. But there's more to do than that. There are many residents who have their own stories to be explored. You can talk to them, do quests for them, or give them gifts - all of which will progress (or perhaps regress) your relationships with the characters. You might even make a special friend - or maybe even one in every port. It's up to you.

There are also some additional locations on some planets, giving you an opportunity to have further adventures: old ruins, bandit camps, etc. You need to learn about these locations through talking to residents, doing quests or exploring the areas around the space ports.

Friendships

There are many NPCs scattered between the different star systems, but there are some who are a little more special. They have their own stories, dream, likes and dislikes, and you can get to know them on a deeper level. You can win them over through giving them gifts of their favourite things or helping them with their personal quests. But your behaviour can affect how they respond to you also. Some of them might like an edgy rulebreaker who dodges the law and smuggles illicit goods, while another might see you as a common criminal and they will be harder to win over. Your interest in collecting plants might capture the attention of someone who shares your passion for biology, while others may see your inventory full of plant specimens as just "boring old weeds".

Your Ship

Your ship is your home. You can upgrade some of the systems to get better combat performance, or speed, but it is your only ship. You wouldn't trade it for all the coffee on Ryser. However, you have your living quarters on board, which you can customise to suit your style. Collect various decorations and artefacts, or a new bed. Make your home the comfiest place for you.

Economy

The economy within the system is simple but dynamic. Events beyond your control can have a temporary impact on the prices in a system. A pandemic on one planet may cause an increased demand for medical supplies, while a recession on a high-tech planet could cause cheap prices for their manufactured medical supplies. You can take advantage of the situation and ferry supplies between these two planets. But these conditions are only temporary, so you need to act fast.

The Outer Regions

The outer regions of each system are worth exploring too, but it is a gamble. You might find valuable resources to mine, or an old wreckage of a cruiser to explore, but be careful, because you could just easily find yourself in an ambush by pirates.

Your Character

A versatile character creation system allows you to create the character who you want to experience the game as, and the system is flexible enough to create almost any persona. You can change your characters appearance, including eyes, hair, skin colour, complexion and facial features. Your character’s name, gender and pronouns are also customisable. Any of these can be modified during the game at any time from your ships living quarters.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Orion's End is designed to be very diverse but uncomplicated, incorporating gameplay from retro games but with more modern influences. Shoot 'em up gameplay in space and shoot outs on planets. Minigames at settlements, and life sim social encounters with the local residents. All of the mechanics are designed to be simple enough to just pick up and play. There's no steep learning curves or complicated systems. There are lots of things to do, but not all of them are necessary to enjoy the game. Do what you enjoy doing most.
