Galactic Civilization German Translation Patch:
Just gave it a short test. It's a fanmade translation of the main game and changes the text from english to german. Playing the expansion Altarian Prophecy some of the texts are still english, as example the new races.

hi,
to change the written language in thief 3 just go into System --> default.ini
search for "locale"
then you should find this:
[Locale]
;Qualifiers for locale will be specified as follows:
;__a-english, __f-french, __i-italian, __g-german, __s-spanish
;Search code for cConfigManager::Get().AddQualifier('a') for clarification
Language=german
;Language=french
;Language=italian
;Language=german
;Language=spanish
and then you change the Language (without the ;) into the language you want i tried it with german and it works like a charm

What does it mean that Jagged Alliance 2 is mentioned but no patch is named? I know that v.1.13 has a German version but I can't get the german original files.
Also, I have managed to get a couple of games more or less working in German that I think are not mentioned, but many of them were through the gog forums. I might be able to scrounge up the files.

Headset: Nexus - The Jupiter Incident
You can enable German Text/Subtitles.
1. open up Registry with regedit
2. locate Mithis/Nexus - The Jupiter Incident in your registry
3. change "Misc_Language" from "0" to "1" (change value with decimal not hexadezimal)
Unconfirmed other languages
Hungarian ("2"), French ("3"), Italian ("5")
Have Fun / Viel Spass HERE IS THE PROCESS TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE SUBTITLES WITH SUCCESS (for me...)
Actually the process with "misc_language" didn't run for me, whatever this is not the right manipulation on my computer...
Here it is...
1-Go to regedit and make a research with "misc_language", or "nexus", or "mithis" (Menu : Ed _> search).
you gonna fin the register list about nexus (wich is at home : hkey_local_machine -> software -> Wow6432Node -> Nexus - The jupiter incident).
2-There you have the liste of register configurations.
Find this one : Misc_subtitles and double click.
Then change the value (3 for French, I don't know the other but I think google can help you for this)
No need to change "hexadecimal".
3-When it is done, go to the shortcut of Nexus, and be sure you are in administrator mode (if not, the subtitle's change doesn't work ! Then you have to do it).
No need to change the compatibility. I'm under win8, and Nexus run perfectly.
That's all ! All the subtitles and menus gonna be in the language you want.
CHANGING THE SCREEN CONFIGURATION IN NEXUS
By the way I have find a similar manipulation to change the screen configuration of Nexus.
Unfortunatly, when I tryed to change the screen config on the options's Nexus program, it didn't run at all.
But... If you go to the regedit, where is the list of the register configuration of Nexus, you can do it.
1- Go to "display_width", double click and change the value (500 for 1280).
2- One again, be sure you run the game in administrator's mode, if not the change doesn't run.
3- Run Nexus, and go to the options. There you can choose one of the both 1280 config and it runs without game reload needing.
(if you want the biggest one, go to regedit and change the parameters before to do it in the Nexus options.
Here it is ;)

after I just had too much to do, to play Settlers I now went to test the language pack, but it is not working for me. I extracted the files and replaced the old data files with them, but everytime I start the game it just exits after the starting video. I also tried changing the language number in setup-file thinking that might be the problem, but no use. What did you do to get it to work?

I'm sorry, it seems like I accidentially uploaded the wrong file.
The problem is that S2 checks every map at the startup. But when the files are write-protected, it fails and the game crashes (I have no idea why they even did that in the first place, but I don't know anything about programming with DOS). That was the problem with the other patch I found and I fixed it, but most likely I picked the wrong files for making my patch. Also, the texts in the missions should now be in german too.
