MarkoH01: Because it does not show for me. I can only access the page with the complete game. There's also no demo if I search for it on Steam. Could it be region locked?

amok: That’s because Steam combines them on the same page when a game is released. If you had clicked the link or opened the Steam page, you’d see the option to download the demo right there. Separate demo pages usually only exist if the demo has a different name from the full game.
I did try the link as well .. tha page just looks different for me.

Maybe they just removed it (or never had it) on the German page.
Edit: No - it is the same for me in English ...

Looks like its region locked for you, for some dumb reason.

No age rating, for the Demo, probably. This is automatically locking out German customers on Steam as far as I know, and they have to tell developers or publishers to add it, so they are granted access and can purchase.

I wonder why Steam hasn't informed all devs and publishers about this, so they can add the rating (can be self-declared). The Demo is, as was already said available, and should be accessible to anyone.

Add: Every game, DLC and likely Demos as well, does need this age rating not just R18+/AO, which Germans can't or should not be able to access there or on GOG in the first place. Not sure if Valve offers an age verification option, allowing them to purchase R18 titles there-I don't believe they do. Or maybe even for R18/AO titles, some rating is enough, I am hardly ever purchasing anything on Steam and I am also not affected, because I am not living in Germany.

MarkoH01: Seems to be a bit like Heaven's Vault.

Mori_Yuki: There's a demo available on Steam, so you can get a better understanding of what the game is all about and to gain some impressions. I can reccomend the game, and for me it was no question to insta-purchase it, when I saw it was released here today. :)

MarkoH01: Demo is not available anymore. I hate it when devs do this. Especially in games with "unusual gameplay" you'd think they'd want potential customers to have an opportunity to test out the waters and maybe being intrigued.
I would not call this game's gameplay unusual, but I would suggest to play the Demo once you become able to access it, because there are two elements (it is all about deciphering an alien language, including typing your guesses what 'runes' mean, going by what you are seeing, a mural for instance, and finding 'words' to decrypt it to be able to 'talk' to people, and certainly to solve puzzles, which you'd really have to experience yourself to know whether this is something for you.

The game can be difficult, if you are unable to assign meaning to several symbols, but it is rewarding to-little-by-little 'unlock' this alien world and its people's language. Just like learning a real world language, where you are thrown into the deep end and have to learn to swim, as you go. :)
