Forgotten 23 is a dark sci-fi adventure – and it’s now available on GOG!

The Forgotten, a remote space station over Proxima Centauri b, is broadcasting a distress signal. With its orbit decaying, it's a matter of time until it crashes into the surface of the planet below. Only one person can avert a catastrophe: Engineer Max Novak, who just arrived at the station aboard a rescue ship and is immediately thrown into a life or death situation: The station’s crew has disappeared without a trace and the station is about to deorbit.

Now on GOG!
Little late, but better than never, thanks KovalGames, indie.io & GoG.
Still waiting for one of these to be based on the antics of a Space Station 13 round.

While I admit that space-themed games are quite the lure, time constraints being a central 'feature' of the game mostly obliterates any interest. That overarching sense of urgency would quickly plant the seeds of frustration, leading to abandonment.

I had viewed portions of a playthrough on YouTube, and, there does not seem to be anything that would counteract the aforementioned notion.
23? I don't even remember the previous 22!

Full agreement.
Game on a timer -instant timed out interest.

caught in a relentless time loop with just 23 minutes (...)
Every loop reveals new clues and challenges, pushing him closer to unlocking the station’s hidden secrets.
I don't think this timer concept is as bad as some people here are trying to paint it.
23 minutes is still short enough, so that you can accept a (temporary) defeat and just try something else next time. It's not like you lose hours of progress.
Btw, other games have explored this game mechanism before. Just one example: Minit

Lesson to be learned for next Mark 24.

(Also, what have you done, having a human to save a deorbiting station is a major FUBAR)
Hi :) I'm developer of Forgotten 23 :)
Thank you very much for your feedback on my game. It's very valuable for me!

Of course, I don't expect everyone to like the game and its mechanics, but it might be worth giving it a try and seeing what kind of atmosphere I've tried to create in game ;) This was my vision for the game- and I'm very proud of Forgotten 23 :)

All comments are very welcome! Creating an entire game as a solo developer over 18 months is no easy task, but it's you, the Players, who give me the most important feedback on how to create future games :) For which I'm very very grateful :)

Thanks so much!

Thank you - I approach everything with calm and humility. That's the role of a game developer IMHO. I'm always open to suggestions and feedback—even the most negative ones. I can always learn a lot from them!

I hope you enjoy F23 :) Thank you!
Best!
