Spiritfall is a fast-paced action roguelite – and it’s now available on GOG with a 30% launch discount until June 1st, 1 pM UTC!

This game combines tight platform fighter combat, smooth movement, and roguelite mechanics into one! Trek across dangerous lands, string together deadly combos to fend off swarms of enemies, and harness an ever-changing set of powers through a randomly generated map.

Now on GOG!
Another very welcome addition to the catalogue, thanks Gentle Giant & GoG.
Nice graphics, but of course

No no, roguelites are nothing compared to point and click, wich are an absolute waste of a storepage.
Maybe i should post on every release thread advocating for their removal from existance, instead of simply ignoring them.

Just out of curiosity, are you applying the same principle also to older (a.k.a. "classic") roguelike/lite games, like, for example, the Heroes of Might and Magic series, Master of Magic, or Age of Wonders series?
Is it too much to ask for a GOG staffer to briefly drop by the offices tomorrow and push out the offline installers for this?

Right, because Dead Cells, Rogue Legacy, etc. are such horrible games. Duurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

(Speaking of which, why is Rogue Legacy 2 not on GOG? Well, Spiritfall does look pretty good, though on the other hand I did just buy Astral Ascent, hmm....)

In what universe is HoMM a roguelike?

You're free to express your opinion on any new release, whatever that opinion is. It never bothers me, and I never bother others over it. But please, show me where I was advocating for anything's removal?

It is not a roguelike, it is a roguelite. From mission to mission, you lose almost everything (cities, armies, resources) and have to start the next one almost from scratch, while getting some relatively small accumulated benefit for having won the previous mission. That is the epitome of roguelite.

I'm sorry, but that's utter nonsense. You don't start the game over when you lose, you never lose your progress, you can save/load any number of times, the missions are not proceduraly generated... simply having to build up a new castle doesn't make it a rogue anything. I would have better grounds to call HoMM a point & click, because it is in fact played by pointing and clicking.
A great-looking game with fast and fluid gameplay and stylish hand-drawn visuals.
It looks like a fun game.

Speaking of nonsense. Missions are absolutely procedurally-generated; what do you think the "random map" option does? All 4X games I know of have random map options; I've certainly spent most of my time playing them using missions where they are procedurally-generated, and if you lose you start over from scratch (which is rogue-like rather than rogue-lite). HOMM is a 4X with RPG elements, but it does have the aforementioned rogue-like elements. The presence of rogue-like (or -lite) elements doesn't make a game bad, duh.
