Nice, not sure if the upgrade is worth it though.

Incidentally the other store has a 40% discount - they applied the normal 30% discount and then the sale period 10% discount on top of that. Not sure if Gog forgot or it's just the usual DRM-free surcharge.

With the discount, it was a little over 20 for me. I feel it's worth it for that price.
I'm in the mood for a complete replay that will last for years and years

so uhm, 'bout that debt eh GoG. Someone's been good to me once, so i can be good to others, too.
Let's call it quits sonny!

Not exactly, they just have an additional option to buy the game via upgrading, if you already have AE.
Glad it's here for people who want it, I certainly hope it turned out well.

I wanted to ask this too.

@staff is this intentional or will this get changed?

Well, I impulse bought it so I will tell you after I tried it.
In my opinion, original games have pretty big flaws by modern RTS standards which this re-release supposedly fixes.
Congratulations Relic and GOG!

Does it? Can't see a mention of any gameplay changes anywhere.
Dear GOG,

what about all the people that bought DoW before the Anniversary Edition Upgrade came to Gog?

On Steam everyone got a free Upgrade to the Anniversary Edition if they at least owned the base-Game or any of it's Addons.

I bought the Warhammer 40K Bundle that included the Game of the Year Edition of DoW in 2024 and the Anniversary Edition does not show as owned to me, so I can't use the additional 30% discount on the newly released Definitive Edition.

Please fix this.
Hello, I have all games in the DoW 1 series on GoG. GOTY, Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm. I, apparently, don't own the "Anniversary" version (which includes the exact same games) and so I' not elligible for the 30% discount. That's hardly fair - the Anniversary edition came after I bought all the DOW1 games here.
WAAAGH!

It should apply at checkout if you have all the games on GOG. Nothing showing up for you ?

If you own Anniverssary Edition on GOG, discount will change to 30% after adding DE to cart.
