Soldiers: Heroes of World War II has been updated with a patch supporting mods, better graphics, online play, and general improvements.

I'm assuming the patch is coming to GOG, as well.

Reading the being paragraph of the patch notes piss me off little.

There was a clarification in one of the steam threads. They have their hands full atm and have to update gog specific stuff including network code.... steam was just the easier version to do first. They will get to GoG eventually... just not necessarily soon.

That sounds like bull crap from the developers. The Steam version is the only version updated. The game is just not available on GOG and Steam.

A new trailer showcasing the Enhanced Edition was released a few hourse ago (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq3VOzYA4H4) - a sign maybe that the GOG version is going to be updated some time further down the line?
