It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I got Gog Galaxy 2.0.86.13 installed (Latest version at the moment I write this).

Even when this is the latest version, the auto updater wants to update it. The update then fails:

"There was a problem with updating the application. You can always download the latest version from https://www.gogalaxy.com/en/download"

When I do this the GOG galaxy installer presents me a message: Newer or same version is already installed. Setup will exit now.

GOG Galaxy works fine but it keeps prompting me to update. No update is needed. How do I turn this updating off? It annoys me a lot!

Windows 11 24H2 x64 EN with all updates.
Attachments:
1. Uninstall GOG Galaxy from Control Panel or the Settings app.
2. Run the latest full installer, which is currently setup_galaxy_2.0.86.13.exe.
3. Once you start GOG Galaxy next, it will import your list of owned games from the server. After that finishes, you can click the cogwheel in the top left, choose Add Games & Friends, then Scan Folder for GOG Games to add games that are currently installed.

Also have a look at the Settings window and check if any custom preferences you had before have to be set again.

Alternatively, you can open a support ticket and ask where GOG Galaxy saves that an update is available. Presumably this can be solved by deleting that folder or file, but I don't know what it is. C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\autoupdate-verified maybe?

I am afraid to uninstall GOG Galaxy. The last time I did this it did not recognize my installed games as installed anymore and I had to click install on every game that I own. Installation went quicker because the files were already there but still it cost me hours.

And it did not solve this issue. (I had the same issue with an older version of the GOG Galaxy 2.0 client)

Like I said,
• You can scan for installed games to add them back.
• If you'd rather not uninstall GOG Galaxy, a support ticket is your best bet.
