It's not the FOV, it's the camera being to close when out of combat. You will notice that when in combat it zooms out.

I may have been overtly pissed off yesterday. I've had so many gaming disappointments lately that I had to expend some frustrated energy at someone and in this instance it was directed at GOG and these forums.
I'm sorry If I offended anyone.
I uninstalled Witcher 3 and was going to put it away until a later date but there was a danger I'd forget about it and never bother to play it again. So I sent it back to Amazon instead.
I figured by the time the game has been patched up to the eyeballs I'd effectively be downloading the entire game again in patches so buying it on download instead at that time would be a better option (thought I won't have the excellent map, or the stickers, or the soundtrack, or that lovely thank you letter from the developers).
I'll buy it again on GOG, maybe next year when it's all patched up and there are mods for the FOV and other things.
