Understanding the universe one anime tiddy at a time...
Oh, I know how to solve this one. We feed it to the tar pit. We feed every goddamn plagiarism machine and markov chain generator to the tar pit.

Help speed up the self-destruction of their models.

No mercy.

Elon really is something else.
We're already so advanced we have yandere waifus: https://www.alterstaff.io

No, you can't add it to the Dreamlist. Yes, I've tried. No, I'm not ashamed. (Anyway, according to the Steam page it depends on a connection to the Azure OpenAI Service, so there'd be a DRM issue.)
The real dystopia was the chatbots we made along the way.
I actually considered buying the little bedside radio....

the one that would also text you ....

just because some hormone activation due to 'female shape'

I run something similar here, that I documented to make it easy to replicate: https://notes.vv221.fr/blackhole.xhtml

It has been steadily serving half a million daily requests to LLM scraper bots, at no noticeable resource cost from my side (~350MB RAM, 0% CPU).

Sigh. They’re making me remove the word 'grok' from my vocabulary. I really don’t grok reality anymore.
AI= Plinko

At least this current rendition of it.
Frighteningly ingenious. The loneliest people using AI for companionship, therapy, etc. (caused by social media) are also the type of people to use and feed AI even more inputs and details about their everyday lives that might not exist in other public data sources. Then that could be used to improve this AI's data in other intelligences.

Annual Salary Range - $180,000 - $440,000 USD
No wonder people are so gung-ho about their careers in AI. I wish I got this much while completely uprooting the future global economy, culture, and its people for the worse. I mean it's Palo Alto, but still.

there is a great life lesson I've learned from my favorite youtuber https://www.youtube.com/@VagrantHoliday of something called Parasocial Interaction https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasocial_interaction which is a very dangerous psychological condition that most humans experience at some point and that can be really dangerous for a lot of people.

These AI companions are pure evil from this point of view, because while you can sometimes "snap out" of this type of relations with real people, because they do something that you don't like/approve so "the love" can go away, with the AI designed to please you, the more they learn about you, the less likely that they say something that can upset you. So "snapping out" it will be really hard.

I strongly advise everyone if you have 10 minutes of time to read that wikipedia page then stop a moment and think if it applies to your life.

The first step it to understand the issue and be able to recognize it so you can better protect yourself.

I’m not sure you fully understand the concept, or the Wikipedia page you're referring to. Parasocial relationships have been studied for a long time, and we have a solid understanding of how they work. Like all social interactions, they can have both negative and positive outcomes, but I really wouldn't call them dangerous.

What, in your mind, makes them so 'dangerous'? Also, what is the specific 'danger' posed by AI personas that is greater than the danger of any other social interaction you might have with a real person you’re emotionally attached to, who could also give you bad advice?
