I'm in for Banquet for Fools.
Thank you.
Great giveaway. It reminded me to backup my games to the current status and I also finally sorted all "untampered" installers into a folder to back them up seperately. The ones from the preservation program before gog made changes :D
Ha! I've told you :) Great selection.

Banquet for Fools is very unique game, definitely. I had wishlisted it a while ago, but now I've checked it a bit closer and it looks it may cause some problems under Linux and it's also Early Access, so I guess I should wait a bit for devs.

Congrats, erbello. Have a nice game! And thanks to Doc! :)
Congrats erbello, let us know how the game is!

Thank you doc, for continuing this!

And im in for the Banquet for Fools

B is for Banquet and Backup and brain
Backup when you buy, then backup again
By batches or bundles or each game alone
Back up all files, that is written in stone!
Please count me in for Banquet for Fools.

Thanks Doc :)
Wasn't aware of this game, but it definitely looks interesting. I'm in for Banquet for Fools.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm in for Banquet for Fools,
thank you for the chance.

I tend to download and back up any gog game I buy. Well, lately, I've been slacking, and larger game files in my library are yet to be backed up, but "normal" sized games are already archived, especially older games.
I keep copies on my external 10TB HDD and on occasion I burn some of them on a CD/DVD (though, sometimes I just use a USB stick if it's going to take more than 2 discs) with a nice cover art to go along and put them up on my games selve.
They look nice, I gotta say!

The theme of the giveaway is a timely reminder that I have also become lax in backing up my new games. My game collection is the only reason I still have a spinning rust drive in my computer.
avatar
JRPG13: Not here for the giveaway but does anyone know a way to tell how big of an external you would need for your whole collection? I had been slacking off and just lost my original back up to a TSA agent.
avatar
drxenija: That's weird for a TSA agent to confiscate it.
You can try to encrypt your entire drive before backing files into it so that it needs to be mounted before it can be accessed.
Oh no he dropped it and it shattered.. exploded... eh fell apart and the board snapped. It was ten ~ish years old at this point, survived two moves, a flooded basement and use as a collage storage device; so probably time for a new one anyway.
I'd say we also need a giveaway to encourage people to actually play through bits of their respective backlogs. If only a mere fraction of the time some seem to spend on archiving and collecting went to such ends...just imagine. That said, thanks once again to Doc for their usual generosity :)

These are not mutually exclusive tasks. I backup my games very regularly and I am currently at 61% backlog completion.
avatar
mrkgnao: I am currently at 61% backlog completion.
How is that calculated? Total games completed, ever, compared to current backlog or any limitations, like only certain platforms, a certain starting date to count finished games, etc., or on the other hand extensions, like including owned games that aren't really backlog entries?
