I mean, I can go ask the dev. A lot of this depends on the devs. Sometimes they don't think they'll get a response so they don't bother and that is a real big problem with GOG, whether the game is SFW or not. Chances are, if the dev doesn't get a response for the first game, they won't send an email for the next.

Also please keep in mind that the developer of Paradise Lust was going to give GOG an entire package deal of adult games. This would have included every Love Of Magic, Morningstar and the rest in that series. It would have also included all three Paradise Lust games which doesn't make sense to me at all because Paradise Lust is an adult adventure game and we all know how much GOG likes to put adventure games up here. These have all been well reviewed and I even asked the dev if they could send it again, I really think this is the dumbest move I know of that I've seen GOG make. They turned down a lot of better quality adult games than what we have gotten in the past and the devs of these games still want to work with them. They would be more than happy to work with GOG.

People paying for such things when the devs (somewhat often) release free versions always baffles me. Nice for those who were waiting for a gog version, though. Now onto my ever growing list of unfinished games!

MarkoH01: I would really appreciate it if people would stop spoiling the story for those who haven't played it yet. Thank you.
Yes, even "I heard that ..." or "You would not like it ..." is a spoiler for me.
*Begin Spoiler*
MC does some random tasks amidst semi-massive dialog walls, then eventually bangs all the females in sight.
*End Spoiler*

It's more like "MC bangs every girl in sight, picks the one he wants, some kind of story relevance happens and he ends up with that girl."

That isn't always the case though. At the end of City Of Broken Dreamers, I ended up with no one. Yep. There is 100% a single dude path in some of these games. If you don't make a choice, one will be made for you.
I was more so making a subtle jab at all those (including myself) who complain about spoilers while amassing even bigger backlogs :)

Yeah, you can sometimes end up with a harem and they even get along. Immersion Ruined!

In Bare Witness, you do actually end up with two wives. It's funny how it happens since one of the fathers looks like Mike Haggar from Final Fight and he says, "if you break her heart, I'm going to kill you." The two of them weren't sure about marrying both their daughters off to one man. But that is super rare in these games. Again, you usually wind up with just one. Even in Lust Theory S3, the game will force you to pick one girl. I think Fetish Locator is like that too, but it spawned off into S&M Studio which will also be on GOG. Hopefully not with an announcement page.
This reminds me I need to finish a bunch of pron games as well. If only I could buy more spare time.

(I still have to play several games I had semi spoiled for me years back. Ah how time flies)
So keep in mind that there are many ways to play these games. Bare Witness told me I had eleven more endings to find. So the one I got doesn't even scratch the surface. And the Fetish Locator thing isn't a spoiler since S&M Studio has been announced for a while. It also doesn't spoil the main ending. I won't mention the twist! Apologies about Lust Theory, but I haven't spoiled the twist there either.

SargonAelther: Why does the complete edition not include Shadows Unleashed DLC?
I really HATE incomplete "Complete" editions. Hopefully this game sells well enough to allow the developers to afford a dictionary.

Also Steam has a 10% launch discount, while GOG does not. Must be the offline installer tax.
avatar
TheGrimLord: It's the same on Steam. It's also been like that for over a month. The complete edition is only the game and the cosmetic DLC, it doesn't include Shadows Unleashed, which is a side story. Nobody on Steam complained either.
1) It's discounted on Steam. but not here.
2) I don't care about the mental gymnastics and excuses. If the "Complete Edition" does not include every DLC, then it is factually incomplete. If they don't want to make an all-in-one edition, they should call it "Deluxe Edition" or "The Special Extortionist Edition". There are lots of more appropriate words to choose from.

Bonus 3) Stop it with the spoilers please.

Mate, that's just how they did it. I agree it doesn't make much sense, but developers have done this crap before.

I haven't spoiled anything that was on GOG other than the ending to this which someone spoiled before I got here. You'd get spoiled on a Steam game just walking into the discussion forum.

MarkoH01: Do you really belive what you are saying? Do you REALLY believe that any serious publisher would honestly care what other games GOG is selling if they think that THEIR game will sell?
They do actually. Just not in the way people on this forum and on youtube etc think.

Oriza-Triznyák: Well, i have the email that i received from the developer / publisher who i quoted , but i'm not allowed to publish its full content .
Did you sign an NDA? - Or would publishing the full content violate privacy or other laws? (full content does not include names and contacts in this case).

Oriza-Triznyák: Now i understand why some developer / publisher called Gog a " bargain bin " and choosed not to bring their catalog to here .

If you are unable or unwilling to share it, why even bring it up? No one takes "Trust me, bro" arguments seriously, even if they are true.

GOG sells the exact same stuff as Steam (category-wise), just in a much smaller scale, so if they can sell on Steam, they should have no qualms about the type of content sold on GOG.

If some want to be riding the high horse, they should go to Epic, where NSFW is still banned, as far as I know.

I'd rather devs stop with all the confusing edition titles.

Any dev who espouses such reasoning is likely making it up to avoid saying the real reasons.

Shit's everywhere, I got spoiled on the ending to GOW 3 and a couple other games years back by accident.
