csanjuro: you're right, I wonder why no more people play this game (not Traffic Department 2192, but "what is this game?")
From my POV: the game seems to have become locked into a cycle of the same 3-4 people posting very obscure games. I've never even heard of the last 4 or 5 games that were posted. So, I've kind of stopped bothering.

Anyone who Shareware gamed in the 90s should've been able to recognize Traffic Department 2192. It wasn't obscure back then, not like there was an overwhelmingly huge quantity of quality shareware titles to choose from.

idbeholdME: Cropped a part of the HUD for now.
Is this game fun? I cheated to find it, and turns out I've never even heard of it.
it's Rogue Warrior?

It's pretty average in most regards. A true 5/10 I'd say. But as an FPS enthusiast, I play through pretty much anything playable I stumble upon :)

Nope.

Random guess:
Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts 2?

I hear that. One of the lowest MetaCritic rated titles in my library is Shellshock 2: Blood Trails, and I played through it last year and actually had fun (except the QTEs were still ass). Actually I think I enjoyed it more than the OG Homefront which I played at around the same time.

Takashi_Hafuza: Black?
Neither that.

Next screen will be tomorrow at the earliest. Not at my PC for the weekend.

I've been an avid gamer for 35 years - all through the 90s. I played plenty of shareware PC games during that time and I swear I've never heard of it.
More screens. This time a batch, but still HUD-less.

Homefront?
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare?

(it apparently has a Korean campaign - picking up on the Korean medical boxes)

Good eye, but nope.

Some additional hints:
- it's quite an obscure standalone shooter, not a part of any series
- the core of the plot is based on investigating a real event, but the game contains unrealistic elements
- you play as several characters over the course of the campaign

Sounds like yet another game I've never even heard of then.

I wonder how slim the odds are of someone other than kalirion or csanjuro guessing it?
