I have slacked off from backing up the offline installers to my GOG games and plan on remedying the situation over the coming months.
This is a little giveaway to encourage others to do the same.

I will go through the alphabet in order and select a game to give away for each letter. The chosen letter will be at the start of one of the words in the games name, not necessarily the first word.

__ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __ __

*Rules*
To enter for a game, simply say 'I'm in for {name of game}'. Keep an eye on this thread for when one games time is up and the next becomes available.

If you win a game, you are not eligible to enter for any other game in this giveaway. So only enter if you are actually interested in the game that is currently up for grabs.

Anyone can enter this giveaway but I reserve the right to not award a game to any I believe to be scammers/ alt accounts or anyone that is rude to other Goglodytes.

A very wise decision to do so, and a cool giveaway to encourage others to secure their games as well.

Since I always secure my offline installers, I'm unfortunately not worthy of this giveaway. :D
Good idea for a theme. Granted, game installers are far less critical to be backed up than many other things, even game saves, but more importantly documents, personal pictures or videos or other stuff, the OS itself...
At least in my case backing up games isn't that much of a problem, the entire archive having 455 GB at this point and few games still get updates, not to mention regular ones. But I should probably also get the Linux installers backed up at some point, in case I'll someday at least dabble again, as I keep saying.
But it's a real hassle that also carries costs in case of those with huge libraries, and even more so if they have new games that keep getting updates, and for those with huge installer sizes in particular...

A good point: I should back up the Linux installers. I'm sure I'm still missing quite a few because my hard drives are gradually filling up. Then I'll probably have to buy a hard drive soon. *sigh*
But what about numbers?

(Thank you for the giveaway!)
"A" is for Attention

Because, Doc, your theme for this giveaway certainly grabbed mine! ;) I'm a big slacker too, at least when it comes to backing up my game purchases (and freebies!). Worse, still: I've no excuse... just recently purchased a 6 TB portable drive for backing up my entire PC and I should back up my GOG games too, while I'm at it. :P

Never heard of The Axis Unseen. Seems like a cool first-person solo archer game! Lovely strange creatures too. :) Can't wait to see what other surprises the rest of the alphabet will reveal!

Thanks for yet another great giveaway, Doc. Especially one with an important message. ;)

Here's hoping I back up my entire game collection before you reach to "Z". LOL!
Cool PSA GA Doc but there's only so much space aahhhh...

:(
Thanks for another giveaway

I only really want 2 games in GOG lately and I'd refrain to enter for other games. And if those games not on the list then I probably won't enter at all.

And speaking of backing up, there are 2 things that makes me pausing doing them to my GOG library. The price of mechanical HDD in my country is rising and the terrible download speed of GOG's CDN.

What a cool giveaway format Doc!
Just curious, does everyone back up their offline installers on a usb drive, pc hard drive, icloud or some other more convenient piece of technology I have never heard of ?
Thank you for another awesome giveaway, Doc.

I backup my offline installers in wooden boxes sealed in a thick layer of foil. I bet you have never heard of this piece of technology before. :P

Thanks for the GA :)

I'm in for The Axis Unseen.

---

I guess buying more and more games from GOG to allow them to keep the games alive on their own backups is a lazy solution :)
Which nice format for a giveaway. I'm in for Baldur's Gate 3.

I misunderstood and am not in for The Axis Unseen.

You just made me want to do the backup Doc. I've used some bash or python script back in the days. It was so long time ago... I guess it's time to find huge HDD/SSD and just do it.

I really like the idea for this GA. You always surprise people with your ideas. I guess it's a good thing :)

I backup all my games --- gog, steam, epic --- fairly religiously on an external 14TB HDD. And I encourage others to do so too.

Nice idea for a giveaway. Judging by my wishlist, I am looking forward to B, C, D, F, G, H, R and V.
