Banned because McCoy was a good counterbalance to Spock, but the production value of the original show is so flimsy and archaic that I have a hard time watching it. Then these new shows have the opposite problem: grossly over-produced in the name of pizaz and the writing is like unclogging decades of encrusted mud out of the drain pipe of a septic tank.
